Artist statement
My artistic practice is a process of experimentation and the poetic transformation of memory. Drawing on the Buddhist practice of Vipassana meditation and Jungian philosophy, I address themes of impermanence and the search for inner wholeness.
Working through a site-specific approach with materials such as stone, glass, textile, metal and cement, I intuitively enact an “archaeology of the unconscious,” creating sculptures, art objects and installations.
I believe that the contemplation of beauty can offer consolation and inner harmony. My work is an invitation for the viewer to experience a sense of timelessness and to enter into a quiet dialogue with the intimate and the eternal.
